I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Wrapping the cylinders to simulate cooling fins takes a lot of time. This has a long way to go. The flat blk is on to color the balsa, final engine will be gloss.

Engine comes with the kit in 2 versions, seven and nine cylinders. The engine kit is available as a separate item in 1/8 scale.

An extra rough cylinder can be seen here.

Nine shaped and wrapped cylinders...7 hrs!

The short kit provides 2 extra cylinders. This is a protoype in progress. When satisfied, you have 8 more to fabricate!
John M Oshust, Image # 1187414 Apr 09 18:27

The basic 9 cylinders.

Another adventure begins. Engine parts. This Stearman comes with a 7 or 9 cylinder engine. This is the 9 cylinder version. Crop dusting and air show Stearmans were retro fitted with a 450 hp P+W engine. The task...make these parts look like one. Once the engine is complete and detailed, build a plane to display it!

I have a few plans from Uncle Willie. Great plans.

Sorry, but a bit off the subject kinda, but looking your new kit (I'm jealous) reminded me, What's your opnion of "UncleWillies" stuff. Just saw your fantstic "Tri-Motor" there. I'm looking at getting the Heinkel 219 (pg 45 at "U' W' Too").... How about a "Wing-Walker" on top of the Stearman. Don't see that modelled too often! You could put a "Feather Duster" in her hand! he he.
