It was some rubberised thread from a Ben Franklyn store Ed. I hope to put some thin flat metal wires back in place of the old material. Have now got my new balsa supplies so hope to return to the Q6 soon.

Which tread did you use? I was thinking of using something similar, but not if it does this!

This model is really shaping up to be special. I love the uncommon airplane types we get to see being built up here. Despite the head scratching you appear to be making great strides Bob

interesting bob! is it a military transport?

...it's no light-weight, I'm enjoying the head scratching.

Yes it is, and I like the way it's being built.

That's going to be nice.

still at it.........

Really looking good. I love to build from scratch as well.

Thanks, Bob. I scratched my head a couple of times trying to figure that out. Given the wingspan, I think that's a good idea. It looks quite professional to me.
bobgood, Comment for image # 4320221 May 21 19:38
....I simply enjoy doing my own-thing!
bobgood, Comment for image # 4320221 May 21 14:40
This is very much a suck-it-and-see build. Working out "how to" as I go - I'm no professional!
bobgood, Image # 4320221 May 21 14:37

For Don....

Looks like you've done this before. Looks good. Is there a piece of trailing edge missing from the center rib to the 1st starboard rib?
