There's an F-18 on EBay today.......

excellent craftsmanship don! you probably already answered this, but are the wings moveable?

Seats - need a few more details.

DD, you may have opened a can of worms. Picked this off Ebay a couple of days ago. I know a guy who flies these out of Andrews and the tail letters are "DC". Don't know if it will be as interesting as the F-14, but they are nice kits.

Got the exhaust cones on and blended.

Julnick - here's what I ended up with. I have paid a lot of atention to yours and DD's.

I agree. Had to take one apart.

You get an A+ for following instructions. Obviously it's something I need to work on...but it still doesn't seem right:-)
Don C, Comment for image # 4060123 Sep 18 15:13
I guess. Or is that I hope? I started as you and DD did it. Then I read the instructions again. It just didn't seem right ,so I started looking for pictures.

So you built them the correct way!!

Fit the wings yesterday. More than just judicious sanding and definitely not delicate. I took a wood rasp to the top ribs under the wing covers and angled the gears down to get rid of a dihedral. And in the light I see that the seams on the wings that I thought I havd fixed are still there. *%&#*!

Tail feathers done.

Aha! Thanks Ray. See, Iowa is good for more than protecting Minnesota from Missouri. :)

In real life, they are fairings for the rudder actuators. The fins are interchangeable on the real thing, cutting down on inventory.

Here's the best one I found showing those humps.
Don C, Comment for image # 4059519 Sep 18 09:14
I thought that too and started to build them that way, but the instructions said build them the same. I looked for almost every picture I could find that showed both fins. The humps were on the right on both fins.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 4059519 Sep 18 08:28
On mine the part with the hump is the left fin and the right fin is the same with the hump inside.

Fuselage add ons.

A question for somone who knows more than I do: Here are the 2 sides of the vertical stabilizers. Note that the righat side has an extra "lump" about halfway back, while the left side is streamlined. Both stabilizers are identical. Why does the right side have that extra "lump"? I thought that was wrong, but after looking at lots of pictures, that is the way it is built- left sides sreamlined and right sides with the extra "lump".
