This is going to be a great looking plane - you can tell right away by how square and true everything is. Are you going to fly this?

I replaced the stringers for some sig stringers. The guillow stringers were too heavy. The fuselage is light because I also poked some holes in the formers.

Guillow"s 403-It's been fun working on the 500 series Spitfire. So, I decided to build its bigger brother, the series 403. Unlike its little brother (an almost laser like kit), the quality of the die cutting was not up to snuff. Therefore, I tacked the formers together to do whatever needed to be done to insure sameness.

Thank you. I am using a Paasche Airbrush. The color is Tamiya Flat Earth with .50 thinner.

Excellent work. Saw your photos on the Guillows site as well. Are you airbrushing???

After some thought and research, I painted the first part of my Camo. I tried to adhere to the pattern suggested by Guillow but if only pigs could fly. I used Foto/Frisket Film to help me with my patterns.

The wing feels like a heavy possicle stick, so I reduced the weight by drilling holes with my drill press. I placed a block of wood underneath. This eliminates tearout.

appropriated=appropriate throught=force. Sorry about the mistakes. I am new to this site.

The fuselage is completed. The side keels have a lot of spring and if cemented as is, they would throught the fuselage out of alignment. So I crack them at an appropriated spot and reglue them when I cement the keel sides to the fuselage. I do that that to stringers, too or sometimes I soak them in water.
