Love the smell of fresh cut balsa.

It took about 2.5 hrs after frame-up to plug and get to this point. Personally, removing "Considerable amounts of Wood" is the fun part! Just keep the Strop(?) nearby when you get closer to the glue joints ;o). P

It sure looks like and early B-25 with those changes. VERY NICE and nicely done.

How much time did you save by "plugging" instead of sheeting, filling or planking? It looks like you had to remove considerable wood.

Wow, looking great.

Need to remove the blisters from the cowling for the "B" version as well.
jfinn, Image # 1767324 Apr 10 17:50

"B" tailcone. The green will be different.

Keels and Bulkheads. Ommitted the stringers. Pseudo "Solid model".

This mornings work. Lumber yard.

No tail gun at all on the B series. Just some eliptical glazing. Some of the Doolittle B-25s actually had broom sticks attached to the glass to look like guns to scare off any bandits. Real nice finish overall on this kit.

The color looks good to me. Relocation of the top turret to aft of the bomb bay and no side guns up front. The customer/owner is always right :)
jfinn, Comment for image # 1744111 Apr 10 06:55
Pretty much so. No side turrets and a different tailgunner glazing. Anything obvious that should also be changed? By the way, is this the correct green? I also have an "Olive Drab" that is much more yellow ochre-y and tannish than this. Jimmy (Finn) prefferd this color (he's "Supervising" this build while working on his written report, photo layout and time line. Me, Pfinn, I'm just the grunt doing the labor ;0. Jimmy has one month to complete this presentation so we can't afford to "Over do" it. P.

Really great work. Will you convert the Guillows kit to the earlier version?
poppy, Comment for image # 1744111 Apr 10 00:58
Smooth as silk. Well done!!
jfinn, Image # 1744110 Apr 10 19:55

B-25-B vents.

The stock Guillows intake ports are moved back flush with the L.E. like the B-25 B version that Jimmy Doolittle flew over Tokyo.
