A lot of skill displayed there, both the build and the covering. Painting would not have done it justice.

This is a super model - first class work!

Very nice work. If I could cover that well, I could try a flier. I really like being able to see the interior structure. I agree with you on Comet instructions, but then, who reads the instructions? :)

Here she is all built with weight and rubber added ready for flight. Finaly weight is 165 grams. Covering was a challenge but I covered with wet tissue. Two pieces were used on the fuselage for a smooth look. The wing was a challenge so I covered that wet as well to help with the large LE profile. Once she was all shrunk, I brushed on 2 coats of Aerogloss dope. The decals did not stick well so I glued some on with white glue. The wing is so sturdy I could not add washout, so I deflected the outer ailerons to aid in washout. The wheel pants are glued to the wire not the wing.

Here she is next to my Guillows small Stuka.

Compared to my Guillows Stuka and Monogram 1/48 kit, the Comet build is large.

Originally I wanted mine to look like my old Cox Stuka, but decided to keep it white so I could see the construction design.

The decals are peel and stick, the kit tissue is what I used even though it was a little brown.

Not a Guillows die cut kit.
