I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Oh dear! But at least the fuse escaped undamaged. Is the Cessna completely kaput? Its wing doesn't look too well.

Mr. Ernst, could you reccomend a good beginners scale kit. preferably not guillows there almost impossible for me to build. The Dave Diels kits look promising Sorry for the damage.

Yep - that's the place I got mine. The board itself is just a piece of sheet metal. I ended up attaching it to a piece of OSB board so I can pick up the metal board without it bending and buckling. john

John, do you have a link where one of these magnetic building boards could be purchased?

With the number of Japanese aircraft Dave has in the line a 1/24th scale sheet of Japanese Naval/Army numbers and letters would be economically feasible. This would allow a variety of aircaft to be built and increase sales of the kits. After market sheets could be a seperate profit center. I'm sure all dealers would carry them. Much of the research has been done by the plastic mfrs, just some re-sizing.

I'm interested in all photos of models that are new to me and seeing how someone else builds them is always a pleasure. I have a couple of West Wings printwood kits in the lineup and while they definitely will not fly I love watching how similar kits are built. Of course, I intend to add a bit of extra wood but.........

That sucks!

Thanks Jerry. I admire your Diels kit builds also. I have spoken with Davve about decaloptions, and his concern is that offering more options, the kits become cost prohibitive. The P-40 is also a nice kit. I can post 'build' photos of that one also - if anyone's interested.

A really nice looking kit, good job in finishing. I almost bought this kit yesterday, but bought the Diels P-40 instead. I am probably going to build it in the future I do wish mfrs would pay more attention to the decals and maybe offer after market sheets. Please pass that along to Dave Diels.

WEll, here's what the plane look like now, after an unfortunate 'accident' with my flight box. The Cessna next to it was completely trashed

Nice plane, can't wait to see flight pictures.

Thanks David. According to the image I used for reference, the bigger star is on the fuselage. That's one of the reasons I like this particular scheme. john
David Duckett, Comment for image # 321615 Jun 07 10:02
Very nice! But shouldn't the bigger star decal be on the wing?
jernst, Image # 321615 Jun 07 09:54

This is the completed model - to be flown rubber power. The outdoor lighting is different so the finish looks more blue, than grey. THe stars are kit supplied water slide decals, and the dive brakes are peel off adhesive. I believe the kit will offer them

Covering almost complete. This scheme is an Anti-submaring Squadron based in Atlantic City, NJ, early 1945.

Tailfeather - mock up. I draw my markings by hand onto the tissue before covering.
jernst, Image # 321215 Jun 07 09:21

Similar to the wing, the Stab needs to be covered and in place before assembly of the rudder and fuse top deck in that area.

The covered wing is in place, and attached to the fuselage formers
