The props are the first scale props I've done, and while not perfect they are a step in the right direction.

The decals for the 1/24th Diels P-40B/C Tomahawk of the AVG Flying Tigers came from the 1/24th Vintage plastic kit.

She's finished, painted, Futured, decaled, Dullcoated, details like guns, gunsights, etc. added. She's ready to be hung.

This looks great Jerry, I actually prefer the looks of the B/C model over the later models. Did you make your own decals?

Ah, Structo-o-Speed by Monogram. They should have continued with these, instead went to plastics. What a shame.

My introduction to aviation/war lit was The Flying Tigers by Whelan at 10 or 11 years old (some 60 years ago). I built a number of Monogram Struto-speed P-40E kits, but always wanted to build a P-40B/E. I think I'm going to build a Ki 27 Nate and a Ki 43 Oscar, the AVG's main adversaries in the skies over Burma.

Very nice indeed...........doing great.

Great job! Early models of the P-40 are rare. Most modelers prefer the sleeker lines of the later marks. You've captured the AVG's look very well.
