Try poly-span. Even I can appy it well.

i don't really want to cover the spitfire with monokote because i'm going to do it in camouflage unless there is an easier way. i have some silkspan that i have lying around, would that do the job alright. if so, do you apply it like regular tissue? and will the silkspan be durable enough for r/c flight. thankyou

Brian, BIG can you say big. I started this bird and gotta say BIG. Had plans to set it up for flight time, by purchasing an os.91 four stroke engine, retracts redrilled to accept heavier wire (3/16")for landing etc. but the wing frame, upper fuse and rudder tail assembly are now hanging in a closet to prevent warp. All were set up to accept the required servos and push rods, but if I ever get back to it, it will be for for display only. I also have the P-40 Warhawk boxed for future builds. I admire your enthusiasm to build warbirds but this is the real deal. Follow the instructions very closely and check out many of the build sights for the Spitty for assistance. It helped me get to this stage immensely. BOL.

I'm very interested in seeing this bird come to life. I myself is interested in the TF F4 Corsair for a future build, will look awesome hanging in the garage when your pulling in.
