I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

We are all thinking of the dreadful things that you folk have been through Ed. Can't imagine what you have experienced......

IDA report. 5th day on generator. Have AC, lights, coffee and other essentials. Worst damage in my 65 years in Louisiana(took direct hit wind over 150mph). Not looking for sympathy just reporting. My neighbors have it much worst. I'll be glad to try and answer any questions you guys have. Not much work done on my latest build.

Man, I so remember this model. I covered it in white monocote used red monocote stickon decal material. It was a real challenge, but probably not as hard as all this painting! Very nicely done on a challenging paint scheme.

I guess I'll call it finished minus touchups. Seems like I'm always touching up my builds,(some from when I first started).

Photo of motor and prop. Hard to see pistons.
edbecky, Comment for image # 4333704 Aug 21 20:59
Yes they were and it looks like the motor was a part of the cowl. I'll post a better photo of the motor later.

Looks good. My guest is the original kit cowl pants and wheels were plastic?

Hah! I built this one as a teen in the late '70s! My first attempt to use the monocoat my Dad was using on R/C models on a small scale. Results were not spectacular! I like the Sterling kits for their construction and special features, but the wood quality and "die crushing" was really bad. Can't wait to see how this looks when done!

Yes this Sterling plan has all former and rib patterns. No decal sheet on this one. Building scratch from plans on Outerzone. Going to try and paint stripes. FROGTAPE waiting in the wings.
heywooood, Comment for image # 4330415 Jul 21 18:57
That’s a really good kit. Do you have the decal sheet in good condition?
bsadonkill, Comment for image # 4330415 Jul 21 18:19
Looks good so far. I take it that Sterling plans come with all the former and wing rib patterns.
