Bill, this isn't pretty, the last time we did a room, I ended up with over three gallons of one pint samples. The horror. I might throw myself down a flight of steps to avoid this. But she might figure it out, I did that before.

He called me Obe Wan, not Anakin... Paint the guest room? CAMMO?

Bill, that is the plan. I wish I had the plastics, but I figure that I can work something out. By the way, thanks for the compliment. That Corsair actaually looks much better in person. The underside of the fuselage is almost done and I may be going to the spray shop soon. Of course my wife has stated that after this is done, I will have a full sized paintbrush in my hand in the guest bedroom, working on a full sized project. I may complain to my son, he has a lot of pull there. By the way, you didn't say "Luke I am your father."

I watched that auction too. While the mossy is a highly regarded kit, 150 bucks for 28" wingspan is out of the question for me. Especially when I have the plans... (thank you very much!) Besides, if you can build that Corsair all purty like the one you're doing, there's no reason at all you can't fab up your mossy plastics out of balsa.

Bill I tried a Mosquito on Ebay, another disaster by one dollar after I went to sleep. That was the bid. I have the plans, remember? But no plastic. I told myself that anything is possible, I can do the nacelles, the landing gear and the cockpit. I do want to have it, but there is a limit and I reached it! God Bless all!

The difference between the 1/16th and 3/32nd stringers is dramatic.

And now it's "late Nov" before available ;-(

Sweet! The South Korean Air Force was still flying Skyraiders as late as 1998, when I was lucky enough to conduct a JAAT (Joint Air Attack Team) live fire exercise with a couple of them back in my Army flying days. That was one of those rare "fun" army days.

I've called them, since they're here, a couple of times. First it was that they would be cut after the new boat kits were done. The date has been slipped from late summer to late September to late October. When I called at the first of the month, the man said they were in the process of applying the labels and that was the last step. The order status, at Tower Hobbies, now reads "on order" and I have asked another dealer, cheaper, to notify me when it becomes available. The Bearcat arrives tomorrow so I'll have something to do with my fingers until these puppies do hit the market. I'm taking a page from Poppy's book and have ordered a 1/48 scale plastic kit for reference as the cowl/fuselage connection looks a bit detailed and I want to make sure I get it right. I then had the same thoughts about the Bearcat so I got a plastic kit of it, as well, same scale.

This is the factory built kit. It still hasn't been released although it should be soon.

Bill, this is one of the cleanest builds I have seen. Congrats on a very nice piece of work!
