Looks really nice Poppy. DD must be proud. Really does have that "Mustang" look.

Not to bad at all, poppy. I wish that the Right side brain functions would work like that for me.

And as JohnO said earlier, this is not a competition. I encourage anyone to build what you want, when you want, and do the best you can. On VA, they are all grand!

Steve, you are correct in that our 2 builds will have nothing in common. It is beyond my capability to build anything near as light as yours, and I greatly admire the works of those of you that can. My fliers were all pulled thru the air by Super Tigers and O.S. Max Glo engines.

Good on you Poppy! Looking forward to seeing this come alive.

Even though I'll be building this kit for the "G challenge" I feel that our two builds will have very little in common since mine must fly. But it will be more fun to watch you do it right.

Tamaya 1/48 scale, Don Gentile's "Shangri-La", early version.

I have always liked the B model mustang, this is going to be good.

I'll look forward to watching it come alive. That's a good looking plastic model there, tell me about it.

Next up, a scratch build P-51B using a Guillow's series 400 set of plans redrawn. No other kit parts to be used.

WOW!!! Poppy, I can't believe that I'm not looking at a real P-51. Your panel lines and rivets are just superb!

This venue allows pretty much anything and this is very nice. It's the same scale as my Spitfire and Sea Fury. I WILL check this out!!

Not an ad, but there are many models to choose, and all are highly detailed, from cockpit interiors to wheel wells. I had to have at least one for my museum.
