Very good looking plane. Great job on the tissue, motor, everything.

FC-2 in the background again.... for some reason

here's one that seems to have that narrowed fuselage... so hard to tell from most angles.

a little clearer in this pic.

upper longerons of the fuselage are forced together, making a triangular cross-section

I did review your build before starting mine. How about that nose assembly? I don't like the way those joints are designed, almost impossible not to break the wood, previous glue joints, etc. can't wait to move on to the wing!

I built this a couple years ago and put skis on it. It was a tough build with the breaks in the fuselage.

this is the Lindbergh plane, looks like the wings/tail and fuselage might be different colors; but what? the kit provides orange and black tissue... would not be my first choice.

thanks meku! great footage! I find these old aircraft more and more interesting as well. The markings provided in the kit are for the aircraft that accompanied Charles Lindbergh and the Spirit of St. Louis on tour of America after the Atlantic crossing-- you would think I could find a good photo of that one... but I haven't found anything definitive yet.
