Hi bsadonkill. Beautiful Cessna C-37 flyer!! The grass looks real good and thick. I like small park flying a lot too (my only choice). There is just something about flying outside with parkland all around, and a little bit of wind can make for some very exciting flights, I must say! Very inspiring pics indeed!

Great! Thanks for the info. I may just need to expand my hobby! Been a long time since I've flown anything. May be nice to try something that doesn't need a huge investment in equipment. Just building skill and experience. Is there a model/kit you would recommend to start with?

That's a home made winding stooge. It holds the model as you stretch wind your rubber motor. The normal procedure is to hand launch ff models. I would check out Flying Rubber Models by Don Ross. It has a wealth of information on building trimming, and flying. Sorry it took so long to respond I was out on the road.

Nice clean build! I never really got into Rubber power. Always built either static scale or R/C. What is the stand you have the plane on? Do you launch from that? Maybe there is a part of this hobby I'm missing!

I’ve heard the “right rudder” thing a time or two...

I had a friend who had access to a de Havilland Chipmunk. He had to take up in it. Sitting at the departure end of the runway he almost demanded that I do the take off. I refused. I said "No, it's not my airplane". After several refusals he did the take off. When we returned he explained "I just wanted to see if you would end up in the pucker bushes like I did." I wasn't used to left rudder on take off......

Thanks for the kind words. Yes i think a little bit of right rudder would help.

Memories. My instructor on one of my first takeoffs: "Right rudder!Right rudder! Right rudder!"

Nice work on this one!

Early flights up to 250 turns. Using 4 stands of 1/8 inch. Blue plastic prop is 7 inches and was included in the kit.
