Thanks, The photocopy or tracing glued to the balsa with a gluestick seems like the method I will use. Lots of good info on the site too. ☺

If you have printed (or photocopied) plans then try one of these techniques. On the other hand, if you have Guillow's die cut wood then use it as the pattern to cut a new part. This can work really well if you are (un?)fortunate enough to get some of the wood that is hard as a rock, that way your pattern is not damaged while cutting the new part. Just stick the Guillow's wood pattern to your new balsa sheet with a glue stick or similar. You can also photocopy the pattern from the Guillow's plan (which is probably more accurate to begin with) and use one of the methods linked above.

i would like some tips on cutting balsa, as so far I am alright at putting pre-cut kits together, but I have had trouble cutting my own pieces. (using carbon tracing paper and a "x-acto".)
