| The paint sequence as near as I could determine from fotos and drawings: this Hein arrived at the combat unit in natural metal with red national insignias in place. The yellow and red stripes and red tail and white unit marking was added. The green camouflage was later hand painted with large paint brushes. Finally the white Home Defence white bandages were added. I tried to paint them in sequence as I felt they were added to the machine. Pilot was Sgt Kiyoshi Ando, 244th Regiment, Tokyo air defense. |

The yellow and red had to be under coated with white. |

The except for the canopy the entire a/c had to be airbrushed with Tamiya flat white, then airbrushed with Humbrol chrome silver. |

The nose shape and the canopy were the most difficult and of course the paint. |

| Not from another model,but quite a bit of research. I'v seen photos of this plane as well as color renderings. I try to verify anything I do in modeling. Although I'm thinking of doing some "Luftwaffe 1946" which means making up some color schemes based on composite color info. |

The red and yellow stripes as well as the tail feathers and spinner had to have an under coat of whitle. |
