The white 1/8" polystyrene tubes allow the rudder cables to be pulled back into the tubes during installation of the horizontal stabilizer, elevator, and vertical stabilizer. They also make it easier to cover and paint the plane with the cables out of the way. The cables can then be pushed back out and attached. The clear tube houses the elevator pushrod. The brass tube on the end allows for leveling the elevator with the control stick centered before epoxying in place.

The clevis is epoxied to the metal rod which passes freely through formers two and three. The nuts on the threaded end of the metal rod (on either side of former two) are adjusted to center the control stick in the deck and the aileron ball link.

The lower brass tube slides into the double-end swivel ball link in the lower wing to move the aileron pushrods. The upper tube pivots forward and backward independent of the ailerons. The hole in the tube is for the elevator pushrod.
