This is how the wireway fits on the booster body. Nine wireways, nine of the lower booster attachment points and then thirthy-six of the Booster standoffs to be done yet.

This is the jig that I made to insure that the booster wireways will comform to the booster themselves. The board on the left has a rabbit plowed in it to let the wireway "seat" in it. The blue sandpaaper cover tube is the same diameter as the Booster so that the wireway mating surface has the same radius as the booster tube.

level of detail on the Booster wireways. These components will be located on the backside of the booster next to the main rocket body and barely visable when assembled (sigh).

Parts out of the mould (left) and parts that have had their excess resin sanded away (right).

Now that "life" is not taking up so much of my time, I finally got back to moulding more resin parts for the strap-on boosters. BTW: the pad that the moulds are sitting on is a silicone non-stick pad. IT is about 14 X 24" and nothing sticks to it. I got it a Menards for about $5.00.

Sounds like here. Horses are back out eating in the pasture.

It's been in the 40's this week and now a good rain is falling, so the white stuff is all gone, and the grass is greening up. I'll probably have to get the mower back out!

We have hardly any snow here now, and it's been well above 0* the last several days. Really strange for this time of the year.

Very bucolic. Looking forward to the silence of freshly fallen powder!

Good to see a live healthy young buck. Hope he gets to live to a nice old age and has many offsprings.

All I can say is:"Better you than me." Don't over do it.

These are some parts for the Solid Rocket Boosters strap-on engines. I will makes a RTV mould and start cranking out the parts.

Looks like building season has arrived. 24" (+) of the white stuff lately. I love Iowa's seasons!

Using the aluminum angle insure a straigtht line on the tube.
rayl, Image # 3457402 Sep 15 15:30

30 some of the Payload shroud stiffeners applied. I used a small piece of aluminum angle held agaisnt the tubing to insure that the stiffenres were straight (this time: DAMHIKT).
