I was going for something similar to the image on the box. Not very realistic as far as I've ever seen, but a lot of fun to paint just the same.

It's been a LONG time, but here's how it looks today. Painting was never my strong suit, but I'm forcing myself to get better.

For nevetsw. Here on the plans you can see that the sheet balsa is meant for the tail control surfaces if you plan to make it a control-line build. You would use the cardstock if you plan on making it a display model. Hope this helps.

The only sheetwood that I recall was for rudders/elevators that the kit plans recommend using for control line flight.
