You can see in the picture the landing gear fairing is crooked, that is the only damage.

Here is the video of the trim flight before this picture shoot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFuzx9-TXto

Guillows Cessna Bird Dog, built with no modifications and flew great. Did take a lot of weight. Almost lost her on the second flight, and she hit a tree.

The no step is just sitting there, it is there to cover a stress wrinkle. I will replace it with something better. Yes I plan no flying her. She weighs is at 17 grams as shown.

Nice work; are you going to fly her?

It's a really nice looking O1-E. I'm sure there must be a special purpose for the oversize NO STEP placard to be placed there.

Its lacquer, but no where near as heavy as typical lacquer paints.

That came out really nice! What's the base of that spray? acrylic? lacquer?

The paint went on great, final weight is 17 grams. Have not decided on the wheels yet, that is why the wire is not bent. Should be a great flyer.

I will try an old trick, hide the wrinkles with decals.

Covering still looks great! I am familiar with the stress wrinkles as I have been building several lighter frames lately.

This is the paint I am going to try. I don't normally use spray paint on flying models since it adds too much weight. I hear this stuff is as light as the old spray Pactra dope. I will see how this goes and let you all know.

Covered with Guillows tissue and ready for paint. Some stress wrinkles developed since the structure was light.
