I did not make hindges for the tail of thiBarrel. Rudder and elevator attached with thin music wire. Thesurfaces "wiggle" to show that they move and the wire supports were less work.

I have learned a great deal from the Mig 2.95 and the Spirit. Getting the "Baby's Rear" finish on the Barrel will not require as much effort. The first coat of primer.

With the tail cone glued on I'll add the rest of the wood and start on the bottom.

I traced the outline of the tail cone onto 1/16" balsa, sanded it to fit, and glued it inside to allow it to be glued to the back former.

The red pieces were added between the formers BEFORE the side keel was glued on in the first part of construction. It worked, the whole thing is straight.
