For Doodle- use hinges. This is the method Guillows uses and it's common for all their kits. A different method is used if the control surfaces are to be functional, that is for a flying model.

Gentlemen remember me? We are 40 hours into the scratch built Mig-3. My Boss says that now the "fun work" of detailing the fuselage will begin. This is a modified Mig published by E Sthal in 1943. Larger scale, bass, not balsa.
