I cut shapes out of card stock, glued on either side and filled with lightweight spackle. You can kind of see the original shape (wood) and the new shape (white). |

Instead I went with the brads, so I had to fill the holes. The fuel caps include the metal brad, two short pieces of 1/16" dowel and two strips of paper.
