With Diels kits you get plenty of sanding and shaping of parts, The spinner and the underbelly airscoop are both made up of layered balsa glued together.

The sleek shape of the "Frank" is finally taking shape. The Hayate (Hurricane) in the hands of an experienced pilot could out fly both the Musttang and Hellcat.

The engine cowling is built up with rings of balsa and was a bit of a job carvng and sanding to shape as well as cutting and shaping the air intake . You can see where the stringers must still be added to the fuselage.
