So I'm trying to sand off all the old paint, and lighten where possible. I built new tail feathers using the solid pieces as templates and have saved over 5g just there alone. Should reduce the nose weight needed and help it fly better! |

On the 2nd test flight the plane cartwheeled on landing and broke the tail off, right at the rear peg. The wood is very old and brittle and that is a weak spot in the fuse. So I repaired it with some braces. |
