Fuse as shown weights nearly 0.6 oz, I am going to delay putting on stringers till I have more of the details sorted out. The LPS motor and small battery may not be enough so I either need the EPS-300 shown or a brushless equivalent weighing much less.

Yesterday it hit 102F so I restricted myself to activities that did not generateheat (few people around here have A/C). This build is for the 2008 "G Ghallenge".

Poppy, I found these laying around and think maybe you can find a use for them. I'm going to mail them out tomorrow morning so you should get them Friday or maybe Saturday at the latest.

I have been getting my hiney kicked by Poppy's canopy despite all I learned from my first victim, DD. The plan is to fill the wood grain with Hobbylite then shrink down a thin layer of plastic to provide a smooth surface for the canopy.

The first coat of resin is sanded down and 1/8" sheet has been applied around all edges to ensure a little excess plastic to work with when demolding and trimming to fit the plane. The purple disk is some extra resin, it is hard as a rock.

Poppy's canopy mold arrived today, shown here inside the kit canopy and with the stock plans. The finishing resin is said to provide a heat resistant surface to protect the wood from dents and dings and to sand to a smooth finish.

Maybe this will help. On the top is Poppy's and the bottom are the original plans from my kit.

A 2-5 cell LiPo protection circuit. I will use it with a 2 cell 300 mAh pack, GW/LPS-RXC-AS, and EP8043 prop for the 2008 G challenge.

For the 2008 G Challenge, it was given to me by Guillow's as a prize for my BF-109 in last year's challenge. At the bottom is silver esaki tissue from Shorty's Basement.
