1911 winner in the model contest. Must have been a very long exposure. The lighter areas of the image are "Ghosts" of the attendees walking past. There's a couple that may have stood still for a moment if you look closely. Their position looks like they may have been caught through a reflection of some sort. Really nice model.

Just doing some cleaning out and getting the building area ready for Jimmy and I and found the Guillows catalogs from this me-109 and Jfinn's Fw-190 we built at the same time. The catalogs are dated 1974. That's when I originally purchased these two kits. If you look closely, there's a few not offered anymore. Too bad!

Still to go - canopy, underwing cannon pods, the bomb, and the prop / spinner. Oh - and paint. Lots of paint.

Here's a nice side view. This plane is going to be a Kanonvogel - a ground attack variant. I think this is actual a BF-109G6. The box art, which is great - I'll post a pic later has the aircraft carrying a bomb. Any Luftwaffe experts out there who can tell me if these aircraft were bombers?

This kit is a Sterling BF-109G that I bought on Ebay. Interesting construction. Initially I thought it was like a Guillows kit, but it's not quite the same as building a 500 series. I'm enjoying it though.

Jimmy flew for 30 min. The glider flies wonderfully. That's Malibu Canyon in the backround. Snake Hill, CA.

Well, I blasphemed. Went to my favorite LHS and this was hanging from the cieling (the glider!). Plans built by someone in either Idaho or Montana (tow different stories. Superb craftsmanship. Two servos already installed. My jaw dropped when I saw the price. $85. It's Jimmy's.
