| Guillow bottom insignia same as top, but have not seen any authentic photos with such. Closest was fuselage type so I scanned those and wil make decals for bottom wings from side insignia. Hope the decal kit works! |

| Is the landing gear retractable, or fixed in the closed position?
I am attempting the retractables on the Dauntless currently working on. Looks a tad complicated, but take some time and I will get it.

| This gear is fixed up. I was going to make them retractable (see other build pics) but the Guillows wheels were to thick to fit (since this kit was not designed with retracts), and I was to lazy to make new ones or find replacements. I do believe another gentleman built retracts in his spitfire. He had a couple pics of it posted a few weeks ago, so he may be able to provide more info than I since he actually completed his!
I think the Dauntless includes retracts and if they are like the Corsair, should work out fine with a little tweaking. |

| I really like your Spitfire, but, looking through the photos in your hangar, I was distracted by the adjustable fixture that you made to hold your models off the bench. Simple, but appears very effective. Does it work as it seems to? |

| Yes, it works quite well. The location and height of all the support blocks are adjustable, so can support most model sizes. Also, what is probably not obvious, is that the top of each support block is a piece of aluminum that is covered in foam. Some are flat for wings and some curved to accomodate the fuselage. There is also velcro on the other side of the foam so that I can 'strap' in the model if I need it steady. |
