I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

This was a very nice piece of work back in 2007!

Pretty good!I cant model as good as that. Keep on going.

Yes, it works quite well. The location and height of all the support blocks are adjustable, so can support most model sizes. Also, what is probably not obvious, is that the top of each support block is a piece of aluminum that is covered in foam. Some are flat for wings and some curved to accomodate the fuselage. There is also velcro on the other side of the foam so that I can 'strap' in the model if I need it steady.

I really like your Spitfire, but, looking through the photos in your hangar, I was distracted by the adjustable fixture that you made to hold your models off the bench. Simple, but appears very effective. Does it work as it seems to?

These decals came with the kit. I'm going to try to make bottom wing decals with the printer and decal kit.

This gear is fixed up. I was going to make them retractable (see other build pics) but the Guillows wheels were to thick to fit (since this kit was not designed with retracts), and I was to lazy to make new ones or find replacements. I do believe another gentleman built retracts in his spitfire. He had a couple pics of it posted a few weeks ago, so he may be able to provide more info than I since he actually completed his! I think the Dauntless includes retracts and if they are like the Corsair, should work out fine with a little tweaking.

The prop was hand carved...not a job I will look forward to in the future. I filled the spinner cone with molding resin so I would have some 'meat' to drill into to acept the posts of each propellor. Thanks for all your compliments. Its going on the ceiling for now, but may come down in future for more detailing.

Very impressive, one wuestion, where'd you get your prop, or is it hand made? I'm just finishing up a Bf-109 and need a good prop

Is the landing gear retractable, or fixed in the closed position? I am attempting the retractables on the Dauntless currently working on. Looks a tad complicated, but take some time and I will get it. First time, so...........

Excellent work.......well done!

Are these decals made through a printer?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 329819 Jun 07 21:28
The landing gear seems similar to my current build. Would you be willing to provide me with help when I fabricate retractable wheels?

It looks like flash didn't work for this shot, but color is Duck Egg Blue. Top colors are Dark Earth and Dark Green.
