Looking good. The Spit elliptical wings are quite a challenge. Good luck with those fairings, they're a real pain in the butt. |

Covered and pinned together. Need to build a couple more details and ready for painting. |

Wheel wells with doors. I decided to build with the wheels in up position since it will be hanging and I aborted the retract mod. |

Wheel wells with wheels dropped in. |

Wheel well openings. I later found out that it looks like the interior of the wells was usually painted the same color as the underside. |

Cockpit parts. |

I was going to make a retractable gear, but the wheel, strut and door would not fit flush with wing without new or 'slimmed' wheel. |

Covering completed! |

Search by item number 82057 from their home page. Also, from their home page, check out in the left hand category "Resin, wood, metal plastic" and then "Casting and molding supplies" . This will show you their whole offering for those type products.... or, try this in your browser 'http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares.asp?MerchantID=RET01229&Action=Catalog&Type=Department&ID=64'. Let me know if this works for ya. |

I don't see it on their site. Could you give me a contact where you got it? Thanks. |

Great work, especially on those distinctive eliptical wings. It's already looking like a proper Spitfire - what a beautiful aircraft that was. |

I use CR-600 casting resin from Micro-Mark (micromark.com, I think). Its a two part liquid mix. Follow their directions carefully to avoid air bubbles(yes, learned the hard way). Also use a release agent inside the mold prior to filling. I used Ease Release 200 spray, also from Micro-Mark. The output cuts, shapes and sands quite nicely. I'm still practicing with it, but so far I like it! |

Nice neat work. The fit looks great. I know the Spitfire wing is a challenge with its unique aerodynamic shape. |
