Poppy, don't know how the O-man did it, but if you wrap two strands side by side the length required then uncoil one strand bingo. Perfectly spaced remaining thread. I remember this from an early high school project where I demonstrated the Archimede's screw (corkscrew) principal for early Roman Empire irrigation and sewage removal. How this ties into aicraft fabrication beats me!!!

poppy, moos is correct two strand sof thread on a glue sticked dowel...wait a bit and uncoil one strand....purrrfect spirals hardly no pitch.

Thanks for the "back-up" sir, but I see the same idea every day when a concrete truck delivers it's load fom the drum. Who knew? BTW, you've got to build three of these, huh? Better check the coolant level, and remember the longer the skis, the faster you go!!!
