Hey James. Sure. These are pretty generic because I don't use plans so maybe a "How to" Thingee for basic design (just my thoughts) and wing shaping and stuff. There's a whole bunch of this on the web to sift through which I've done so I'll try to give my take on the subject. And Ryhs, I still have to get to a park to give it some serious tosses because my usual small plane flying area has proven to be too small. With a light to medium level toss, it leveled out at about 8 ft. then had a nice gradual left turn with a approx. 50-70 ft Rad. and hit a wall five feet up after a 180 degree circuit. A real launch is a vigorous throw that causes a half loop to altitude and if everything is setup right and the planets are in correct alignment (ask DD for some nightsky shots the day before!:) )the plane will roll to upright at correct gliding speed and circle down in smooth graceful circles. That is, of course, you didn't launch into a thermal. Then it's up, up, and away! And back to the building board. |
