I always thought the models on here by the likes of DD and poppy etc were detailed but this guy takes it to a completely different level! Admittedly he's working on a much bigger scale, but I have never, ever, before seen such breathtaking attention to detail. Apparently it's taken him 15 months to get to this stage, and he reckons it'll be another 9 to finish it off! Yes, visit the link, this SE-5 is going to fly! I'll bet his research is down to the correct number of stitches showing up under the rib tapes. In my collection of Aeromodler magazines from the 1950's some of the magazine published plans look as though they just made minor modifications to the plans for the real airplane. poppy 01-Oct-07 05:06 Chris, at the RAF museum, Hendon, there is a 1/5 scale model of a Spitfire 1A that is complete down to the last rivet and is incredible.
