I'll be wet covering the tail feathers of the Harrier soon so I'll make another "how to". It's easy.

Could anyone enlighten me on how you apply tissue wet... seems like the perfect solution for tough corners and curves... and I would like my coverings to come out as nice as this... :o)

Thank you, but it's not finished just yet. I still have to fit the cowling + prop, the engine exhausts, plus the Lewis gun and mount atop the upper wing, as well as sundry other little bits and pieces. Pictures WILL be forthcoming, sometime soon I hope. As for the building board I use, yes it is magnetic. I bought the magnets from Easy Built Models in the U.S., and the board itself (a large magnetic dry wipe board) from my local Staples stationery store.

This was a beautiful build and an education. I noticed your workboard at the beginning of the build. Is it magnetic? and if so did you buy it in England ?

Has anyone else had their Micro-Fill go 'off'?! I opened my tub of the white variety the other day and there was lots of green mould on the surface! I scraped most of it off but some still remained.

Major Edward 'Mick' Mannock, C.O. of No.85 Squadron (as denoted by the hexagon), dropped by earlier to see how the newest addition to the newly formed R.A.F.'s arsenal was coming along. He didn't say much, but I think he approved. The dog seemed to like it too.

James I think a reference category on this site is an excellent idea.

No need to be sorry at all! The reference shots are great! I was just saying it would be good to recall the reference shots a bit easier, i.e. if they weren't just lumped in with your build pics.

Sorry.

I thnk adding a new category "reference" is a great idea!
jgood, Comment for image # 517129 Nov 07 17:22
I need to add new image category : reference.

The SE5a in the foreground looks remarkably similar to the one I'm building. It looks like the wheel hubs are a single colour, so I think I'll go with that.
