I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Upper wing finished at last - took 9 pieces of tissue to cover (7 on top, 2 below)!

Hey Chris, What in the range of microscopic do you consider minor? The hardest part is over. But don't let it happen again, OK; LOL....Looks fab.

LOL! At least I shouldn't have as much trouble with the lower wing as the fuselage will sit on top of most of it.

Chris I think you should upload even larger versions of this picture so we can see that even you produce imperfections. :)

You're probably right John, but I am and always have been a bit of a perfectionist! PB, thanks, but the Hendon visit is this coming Sunday (9th) - if anyone would like specific reference photos please see my post at Guillow's own forum. Poppy, thanks, and good luck with the op.

This looks fine to me. The center section cutout of a biplane is generally the most difficult because of the compound curves. Good job!!

Nice job...I bet that there were blemishes on the real planes also!

cd, your superb and meticulous building is always inspirational. BTW, I hope you had fun at the RAF (?) Museum. Did you take more pics of Spits and Hurricanes?

This bit was VERY tricky - much more so than I'd imagined - especially at the trailing edge where the two diagonal pieces connect different sized wing ribs. It's turned out almost perfect, but there are a couple of minor blemishes that most people wouldn't even notice. I know they are there though, and my eyes are immediately drawn to them!

Centre of upper wing now covered.

Tailplane water sprayed prior to doping. Being kept flat with some spice jars raided from the kitchen cupboard!

This looks just fine as is.

Got this kit brand spanking new in my hangar, a Nieuport and Fokker started many, many years ago need covering. One day I'll get on a WWI run but until then, you guys just keep banging 'em out. BTW, plenty of detailing, and again really like the green tissue. Keep the updates coming.

Nice headrest.

cd...there is such potential herem akes me want to detail!
cdwheatley, Comment for image # 430031 Aug 07 11:35
It's not much I know, but I'm afraid that this is as far as my level of detailing goes as I have neither the time nor the inclination to add any more to my models. I will leave the super detailing to those of you with more ability and opportunity!

Instrument panel. Cockpit finished now.
cdwheatley, Image # 429931 Aug 07 11:24

Painted and fixed in place. Hopefully you will agree that it at least resembles padded leather and matches the coaming.

Shaped balsa headrest...sorry about the slightly blurred pic, think I need to use the macro setting in future!
