It just gets better and better. Chris that looks like 1/32" tape for the separation lines. If it is, that's what I've been using and Ive been quite happy with the results. These look great.

A little more progress. She's starting to LOOK like an SE5a now!

I saw James do it in a comment and realized that comments are treated as html rather than plain text. Which explains why new lines are ignored and comments written in paragraphs come out run together. I should be able to create a new paragraph using html code with a "p" inside of "", like this. To see how to make links in html see this page. This means you could also use bold text to emphasize how impressed you are with someone's work.

Chris, I'll add my 'amazing!' comment too. :) As for the blue links, I will add a feature so that when you type in a web address, it automatically creates the link. For now, you have to add HTML into your comment, which is not recommended unless HTML is really your thing.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, and also for the praiseworthy comments - you are all too kind. As an aside, how does one include those blue hyperlinks when adding a comment?!

Fine stainless steel wire from local hobby shop. Comes in perfectly straight 24 or 36" lengths. Cut to size and CA in place.

Has anyone tried elastic thread? I'm thinking of trying to find some that is colored black at a local sewing supply store.

Very thin music wire should work very well.

Rigging.....used heavy black upholstery thread on my Pitts Special. Black button thread will also work.

This is a credit to you Chris, I look forward to seeing the end result.

Thanks chaps. Those sockets in the wings sure made things easier - I'm so glad I took the extra time to fabricate them. John, I don't know if I will put myself through the ordeal of rigging, I wouldn't know what to use anyway. And don't worry, the Vickers WILL be there!

Chris, this is looking fantastic!

All the work is so crisp and neat. Flawless, I use this word regularly to describe your work. Nice job Chris.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 511819 Nov 07 17:52
Chris, superior! What will you use for rigging? Don't forget the Vickers!!
moostang51, Comment for image # 511819 Nov 07 15:42
As usual Chris, your work is outstanding.

Two more struts stilll to fit, but it's all beginning to come together at last.
cdwheatley, Comment for image # 511318 Nov 07 16:18
Note the 'wound' nature of the covering on the cabane struts, something which I believe occurred on the real thing too.
cdwheatley, Image # 511318 Nov 07 16:16

All the struts are finished and ready for the fitting of the upper wing.

Thanks CD for the info. A pound is what....abot $3. I hope you mount a gun on the upper wing. A superb topping for a beauty!

Our petrol in Canada is at an average of around $1.15 per litre, making it around $5.11 per gallon. The US is around the $3 per gallon average.
