I tried solvent based laquer and also water soluble laquer when covering with silk span. It was a mistake. These pics were taken in the spring 2008. The Tommy was ridden by bad luck. I also had a mishap (do you spell it like this?) when trying to attach the wings. I got the fuselage and the lower wing smashed. Creosotewind 23-Oct-08 12:20 Johan, I have crushed several of the ribs on the wings of my Piper. And when attached to the fuselage, I'm always hitting the wingtips into the walls.
