A good primer to use is an epoxy primer fills scratches and pit holes. It sands real nice . Expensive $17.00 bucks a spray can. |

I use krylon primer for the first time on this plane It worked good it sands nice and drys fast and fills scratches good. But krylon paint and rust-oleum paint stay very soft for some reason need lots of drying time. The best spray can paint I have found is Dupli-color.I get it at napa auto parts store. |

Thanks all.. The 38 weighs in at a whopping 1.5 pounds. Not as heavy as I thought it would be lots of bondo on this bird. Moos I use PPG automotive paint. This color silver is just a mixing tint no paint formula.I have access to a mixing system at a bodyshop. |

What kind/brand paint is that menu? I used Krylon on the Trojan and even after 48 hrs dry time w/very low humidity, I would leave fingerprints after handling. Needless to say I was very PO'ed because I wanted an aluminum finish. |

Thanks poppy yes this was very difficult lots of time spent on lining everything up. The hardest part was the booms wanted to turn on the wing . Then your eyes would play tricks on you. I'am glad I had plans and can read a tape messure.. |

This is looking fantastic!! That skin is as smooth as a baby's behind! This is one of the most difficult models due to construction and alignment of three fuselages. Looks like you have it down perfect. |
