Modification was to account for the thickness of the sheeting or for some other reason?

Something a little different. Bristol Beaufighter MK.X in 1/48 Scale.
poppy, Image # 1087518 Feb 09 06:56

Ailerons covered with 1/16" balsa. Trim tape will simulate fabric.

One item noted. The nacelles should extend beyond T.E. of wing. I will cut on black line and use shaped balsa block to accomplish.

Radiator added. 1st. position was an uh oh!
poppy, Image # 1087218 Feb 09 06:49

Trailing edges beveled b-4 covering.

5/16" blocks added for L.G. legs.

I usually like Guillows wood. It is usully very strong. The light strip stock that are in the Diels kit that I constantly break I normaly replace with Guillow stringers that are much tougher.

Jerry, I haven't scaled it out. Maybe 1/24th. Moose, The wood is the best I have seen in any kit. In fact, it would rival some I have found in larger r/c kits.

Poppy, do you by chance no the scale?
moostang51, Comment for image # 1085716 Feb 09 15:46
BTW poppy, how's the wood. Mine was good for kindling only, ergo all the formers were recut from nice fresh balsa.
