DD Are all the Todays jet kits in 1/24the scale?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 382003 Aug 07 11:13
Wow! They have ALL of them and at very reasonable prices and $6 shipping. So....I just had to order the F 18 and F 5 to complete the collection.;-) Thanks a bunch for the heads up on where to get them. For serious scale builders, Poppy, the plans have a ton of scale detail. And for James, there are detailed instructions on how to launch them using a big rubber band/catapault system as gliders. It does mention that the flight time depends on the speed achieved on launch. For me that would be the same as one falling from the ceiling.

I think the kits are all available at Penn Valley Hobby Center. Al least they show them on there web site. I believe they may be proprietory products.

F-4E will make a great team member for these lovelies.

The jets in 1/24 scale.

This is the same scale as the F 14 and F 16. I got all three on ebay and I believe they are no longer produced. I think there are at least two more kits but I haven't found them. Extra stringers have already been added and it will be totally planked like the other two when finished. Balsa rules!

Is this the same scale as the F-14 and 16? Also, where do you find these kits? It already looks as if extra stringers are added.

DD you are amazing, a production machine! Are you going to add extra stingers to this bird? Maybe just plank it!

I do believe this one will be a challenge for final shaping. The Phantom had some nasty curves and that front cannon cowling... well just say say I'll be following this build very closely. Hold it!!! I follow all your builds very closely. Enjoy DD.

All the wood is 3/32" except the 1/16" fuse formers. After two full days this side is ready to come off the board.
