I gave away my last Comet Dauntless so I am building another one. I cut everything out and using my Rocktop jig to keep it all straight. |

There is a company in New Zealand that is selling brand new ones made in Alps Japan. They are about 750.00 for the printer and shipping. I bought mine on Craigslist for 50.00. |

I bet the ability to print white is really handy for decals. These printers are out of production aren't they? |

I am slowly coming along. Still have to add some finishing touches. |

I use 50/50 Elmers and water, but I don't coat the frame and then sand. When I am done building my models I sand the frame smooth. I then cover by brushing on my glue and water mixture followed by applying the tissue. I also cover dry and not wet. Wet covering would work for Esaki tissue but Domestic tissue would fall apart. |

Gentelmen, go to the links page from this page and read David Ducket's tutorial on covering. That should answer your questions. |

I always cover with dry tissue. Afer the 50/50 water Elmers dries I shrink the tissue with water. When that dries I spray dope. |

Do you soak the tissue and then lay it down to shrink around the frame, and then dope once the tissue is dry? I've been doping the wings while the tissue is still wet. Is that bad procedure? |

Covering fuselage in sections, When all done will shrink and dope. |

Wing surfaces shrunk, no wrinkles ready to be doped. |

Wing sitting in jig sprayed with water to shrink the tissue. |
