Propeller attached. Have changed to a white background from my usual black due to the black thread. |

Propeller done. Copied David Duckett's method with his DH4 propeller of balsa wood in two lengths, shaped and put together at right angles. |

Wow! I checked out the WingNut Wings web site. There is a lot there. The tips are great and the photo galleries are astonishing. Thanks! |

Looks great! I'm finding it very difficult to scale items like machine guns and cockpit details! I depend a lot on http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/ in order to get pictures where I can use relative scale to figure things out. Still really difficult! BTW - I heard that WingNut Wings closed during the Pandemic and that they will not reopen. I love this website for WW1 aircraft because of their deep research, period pictures and they post their instructions which are really helpful. I'm worried they may take the site down, so I'm planning on grabbing as much as I can for the many WW1 aircraft I have in my queue to build. |

Guns assembled with several 3D printed parts and some wire bending. Look slightly on the large size but copied the size of the plastic parts issued with kit. |

That's a lot of rigging! Looks nice and tight. It's always the details that take the majority of time, but it makes all the difference. |

that's a LOT of rigging line Dfell - and a wonderful rendition of the DH4. |

I have read a few accounts of the early airmail pilots - most of whom flew the DH4. The stories of weather conditions, unlit airstrips, fuel leaks and engine failures are always hair-raising. Somehow these intrepid aviators held on and moved the mail in these kites - both man and machine proving to be far more robust than they appeared. |
