David, so I don't have to sift right through the site, can you point me in the right direction for a heads up on your fabric covering techniques ? No doubt you have provided one of your amazing how to's on one of your builds so if you could let me know where to look I'd be very grateful. Nice work on the Jack by the way. |

That is some awesome craftsmanship Mr. Duckett. On a side note, I never thought I would see two incredible "Jack's" side by side. I like the wartime colors a lot, but I'm super-impressed by the choice of the prototype scheme. Gotta keep it lively.
I'd really like to see your version of a prototype Spitfire David. ;-) That weird blue and all... |

Thanks! James: The computer has somehow added about 40 or so hits that haven't happened. I've seen this happen twice before ;-( |

Fettuccine. Ciao, Moostang! I also added the 4 top canopy strips I overlooked. |

Oh yeah, I added the anti-glare panel and the cowl flaps made from card stock, same as Jerry's. Exhausts?? Tune in tomorrow. |

You might try sealing the tape and canopy with Future, to lock everything together. I would have the same concern with the tape. |

Do you have any concerns about the masking tape coming off in the years ahead? I used a similar trick on the canopy of the plastic He 111H that I posted a picture of, 15 years later the tape is peeling up as the adhesive turns to powder. Maybe your small drops of CA at the ends of the tape will help. |

Super job on the cockpit! Love those head-rests. |

The finished product. Use a pin to apply the tiniest amount of CA possible where the tape ends to keep it in place. When everything's dry a small dab of paint will complete it. |

Masking the front. I'll freehand the slight drop to the bottom line. |

I'm using Pactra masking tape around the edges and painted regular masking tape cut in strips for the pieces that go across. |

The canopy was attached with medium CA, VERY SMALL AMOUNTS, and now filler has been added. This is a very thick canopy! |

The canopy has been cut and trimmed and the cockpit is finished. |

Yes, at least it's my version of it. Howard, are you here? |

The model looks great as usual. Was this the color of the prototype? |
