My new fill product. Works great and cost less than Hobby Lite.

Beginning to take shape. The spinner is from an old R/C plane, too long. I will turn one to proper size from balsa.

Covering finally finished.

The side crutch will be sanded flush with balsa skins when covering is complete and nose/tail blocks are shaped and added.

Excellent detail Poppy. I know how much work goes into the cockpit only to be not seen when hung on the ceiling...but it is most satisfying!

Outstanding instrument panel and clean solid lines here. You folks really raise the bar for the novices. Gonna have a siren????

Rudder pedals made from .020 sheet styrene, center hole punched and long slits made with Sharpie pen. Panel is .040 sheet styrene, marked and drilled. Main instruments copied on Avery white label paper and reduced in size from reference page, others from J-Tec sheet. Switches are yellow paint applied with toothpick. Levers are round headed pins. White marks made with a white gel pin. Instruments are cut and placed on 1/16" balsa and sandwitched between balsa and styrene. Clear fingernail polish over instruments simulates glass. Outside edges of instrument openings are beveled with 100 grit sandpaper before painting. It's not perfect, but it suits me.

A few extra stringers for added strength on curved surfaces.
