Hi Don C. this one doesnt look familiar to me. Must not have got it out of the old farm house like the B17 ? Cannot wait to see it complete and please keep us posted with the build thread. looking great !!

Fill, sand, repeat, repeat. Think it's ready.

It's not a kit, so it's not on just everybuddy's radar. Also, when built to the plan it's a big model airplane. When I blew the plan up, I discovered what the limit was for size in my workshop. It was really close to bigger than I could handle all by myself.

Thanks for the encouragement, Bill. 7 hours yesterday and except for the cockpit windows this part is done. Think I'll fill them too and paint as you did. As a comparison, your nacelles are this size! Studied your build a lot. I was chicken and decided 1/16 like my others, was just too big for our house and dropped to 1/32. Wonder why no one else has done a "46"?

Stay with it, Don... It's going to be really neat looking!

I looked up "infill" in the dictionary. It said, "See tedious".

This I like!!

Except for the rocket which was built when I was teching a model rockety class in the 80's, these are all from the late 50's. The DeWitt Clinton probably a little earlier. The decals on the B-47 really deteriorated. Looks like it needs a major overhaul. Just think - could have been chasing girls!

Waiting for the glue, so I decided to open this "time capsule" that was sealed up for a move about 25 years ago.

2 halves make a start. This method is a lot easier. and straighter.

All parts cut. Ready to glue. DD, I decided to try the method you used on the Mossie. 3/32 works a lot better than 1/16. Especially those doggone flimsy stringers.

About 25 miles south of Kalispell, MT.Flathead Lake. About 45 minute ride from the house.
