I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

No sir just me fingers! Nothing to thread more like a wrap.
JohnG., Comment for image # 2533108 Mar 12 11:38
Do you use a needle to thread the thread????
John M Oshust, Image # 2533108 Mar 12 08:33

I still cannot get over how strong the thread spoke wheels are....who would have "thunk"!

you should work for goodyear, john!

Fine sanding and a dab of paint can make it invisible. The super duty are destined for the "Magic Box" for future endeavors. This bird gets silk!

At the bottom of the one on the right, right? Who cares, they look great.

Foam chord. If you look carefully you can see the glue seam. CA is very aggressive with the foam. Just a dab and a push and the tire forms.
frwyflyer, Comment for image # 2532707 Mar 12 17:49
What are the tires made from? A large O ring (no pun intended) Do they come preformed or do you need to join them to form the circle?

Kevlar, AKA, bullet proof, thread. Try to break it by hand and you cut the digits!!!!
JohnG., Comment for image # 2532707 Mar 12 17:22
Snazzy looking wheels. What is this Kelvar spoke???
John M Oshust, Image # 2532707 Mar 12 17:17

The Fok hand made wheel selection. From left to right: Medium duty silk spoke wheel, heavy duty Kevlar spoke wheel, and last, the super duty wood core wheel. Maybe I do have a future as a wheelwright????

Well, it is going to be part of a circus, right? Planes from this era were painted to the pilot's whim so the only requirement would be the Iron Crosses.

I was thinking more like the gear shift knob on my Maserati.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2528106 Mar 12 07:17
It is a wizened old leather football helmet awaiting the final finish.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2528006 Mar 12 07:17
Agreed!!
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2528006 Mar 12 07:11
I shall paint a "what if I was there" scheme. Why copy the imagination of someone else.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2528106 Mar 12 04:42
The more I see the cowling, the more it looks like leather. No offense, that's what it reminds me of.

The Dridecker is one of my favorite aircraft. Your detail work on the nose cowl is the best Ive seen. Have you decided on a color scheme yet? So many good ones to choose from.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2528005 Mar 12 21:53
The error was how I wrapped the chord over the rim. Look for the "X "crosses near the rim, with the Kevlar. Look close in this pix. The silk does not have a crossing near the rim the thread was dirctly wrapped over the rim. Look back for the constuction procedure. For my display purpose the silk looks to me more like real spokes. 3 1/8 inches in diameter if I remember correctly. They are available in other sizes.

John I have looked at this with a magnification and can't see the error. They look great! What is the actual O.D.?
