I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Looks great!

Thanks guys. All covered dry with unthinned dope, then spritzed w/H20. I dope and sand all wood b-4 applying. I had one wrinkle on the bottom wing, which I covered with a patch, notice the front of second and third ribs from the right.

Looks great, did you apply dry with dope or another method?

I shared your pain, as well. This , however, looks super.

Really? It doesn't show!

All Covered. It's been quite some time since I covered a bare skeleton with silkspan. I am a little out of practice.

I am liking the lines of this aeroplane. Punch fingers thru a build.....never happen!
poppy, Image # 2150707 Mar 11 16:43

Clarence thinks it's OK.
poppy, Image # 2150607 Mar 11 16:43

I decided to add the cockpit coaming now so's I wouldn't punch my fingers through covering.

Mock-up. Fuselage stringers doubled as are ribs on tailfeathers. The cockpit floorboards and instrument panel are in place.
poppy, Image # 2147405 Mar 11 19:14

On the outer wing panels, I doubled the number of ribs, while leaving the spar notches on the kit's ribs in place, I re-cut all to accept a 1/8"x1/4" basswood spar. I also built with no dihedral on either wing to match the real one.

Wings slightly modified from plans.

OK, thanks, I found it at Tower Hobbies.

I have used gas line from a mower shop or brown or blk insulation split and pulled from large gauge wire.
poppy, Comment for image # 2137503 Mar 11 20:03
DD, I have split rubber coaming in 3 sizes. will put on after painting. one size, probably the small one, should fit. These can be purchased at hobby shop.
