I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I've airbrushed using tube acrylics on many occasions. It looks like your paint might be too thick and not enough air pressure from the compressor. Try thinning the paint a bit more. Acrylic can be a pain to clean from the airbrush, but you can soften it by soaking the parts in an alcohol based solvent like Windex. I still sometimes have to pick out some paint using a needle.

i got this big 39" wingspan plane that i tried to airbrush. i only brushed the cockpit, battery conpartment, and underneath the fuselage, when i went to clean up i had the hardest time getting the acrylic paint off. is there any advice for brushing acrylic paint for large area's that don't end up like this?

Yes, acrylic is the way to go with foam. Solvent based paints may attach the foam and melt it, right before your eyes. I speak from experience. If you have an airbrush, you can spray the acrylics. If you have David Duckett's hands, brush strokes won't be a problem.

Stick close to with what GWS recommends, they fly what they build.
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 1900325 Aug 10 06:40
i have a park zone corsair, the spitfire and p51 are around the weight of the gws with 25oz & 26oz. with the gws being 23oz. the wingspans are 39 and 39.5 in. and the gws at 39in. do you think i should use park zone parts for the gws190 the batteries are 11.1v 1300mah and 11.1v 2200mah. the gws190 is 11.1v 1.3ah- 2.2ah recommended. they use a 480 engine, but the gws recommends a 400.

thanks again you guys, its a big help.
Xanadu, Comment for image # 1900324 Aug 10 17:15
A 1500 is the recommended size, but I would try and say closer to 1300ma. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=642858 is a great thread to help you with tons of info.
SteveM, Comment for image # 1900324 Aug 10 14:53
Not sure what size would work best, but I would think you could do at least 1000mAh and might even be able to go beyond the 1600mAh size they list since a LiPo is lighter. Of course you'll have to keep in mind physical size and weight limitations.

thanks steve for taking the time to help me out.
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 1900324 Aug 10 12:52
hi steve, what mah should the 7.4v lipo be at?
SteveM, Comment for image # 1900324 Aug 10 05:44
I accidentally deleted my reply, oops. Just go here to find the motor and a variety of gears for it. Search the website for "NARO", "ICS400", and "EP1147" to find the servos, receiver, ESC, and prop. Instead of the 9.6V NiMh pack I'd suggest trying to use a 7.4V LiPo pack which will require a little prop and gear ratio experimentation, but you get a lighter plane.

here's the big question, i got this gws 190 plane, i spent hours looking through hobby website for the electronics, most of the equipment is discontinued or out of stock, plus i don't really understand how it works, it would be a big help if someone wanted to guide me in the right direction, thankyou. i would really like to try to build this plane.
