Part of the delay is mine and part is theirs. The target is "first half" of 2011. Hopefully, earlier than later. |

Is Guillow's telling you how long we'll have to wait? |

All the new kits will be laser cut. There is work being done to move some existing series to laser cut also. |

This looks like it is going to be a great flyer. Will it be die cut or laser cut? I can't wait to pick one up. |

Side view. Former inside back of cowl makes it easy to make removable. Beaver has the same arrangement. |

Done except for exhaust stacks |

26" WS. Well, I'm getting one! This is one of my favorites if I could afford the real thing. Beautiful job hjlittman. I'm waiting with baited breath. |

Well, they told me that now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, I could post pictures here. |

How cool. I remember you mentioning something along the lines of dropping your old job (?) and moving into designing models in one of your previous posts. Congrats! Thanks for sharing here. Phil |

Obviously had to build a few of them in the process |

Edit doesn't seem to work. Anyway, the "bones" shot. The distinctive Porter exhaust stacks have not been glued on yet. Has a 26 inch wing span. Yes, the landing gear is actually spring loaded with 1/2 inch of travel. I'll post the details, it's actually very simple. Makes the landing gear practically indestructible in a hard landing, unlike some of the other 300 series models. Note that rubber is evenly distributed ahead and behind the CG. Black prop is 7 incher from 200 series kits. |

Yes, the Pilatus Porter was shown at the Chicago Hobby show in October and will be in stores "first half" of 2011. You are looking at a prototype, I designed it for them. |

Fuselage frame rear. Porter makes a good flying subject. Proportions are of a rubber powered contest model. |

Fuselage frame front. |

Cabin side installed. Typical Guillow's structure is very rugged. |

Hey! is this a new offering from Guillows? |
hjlittman, Image # 20032 | 13 Nov 10 14:03 |
Inside of cabin side pieces reinforced with 1/16 square at top of door frames. |

Rear section of side keel goes on first. Note 1/16 square piece at bottom of notch on front side of former. Provides extra glue surface for rear of front keel section. |
