The red on the cowling and the black around the exhaust.

After the paint is finished, next is a coat of Future preparing for the decals.

The light blue under surfaces and the upper green have been added. next will be some ID colors. the rudders will be finished and added last.

Thanks. The plans allow for building a flying model powered by a Rapier rocket engine, although These may no longer be manufactured.

The canopy is masked with Scotch Drafting tape.

The gunsight is in place and the canopy has been set in place but not glued down.

The thin "PTEG" at the LHS works good. I've also heard that 2 Liter soda bottles work pretty good too,but I have yet to try those.

Not only does it work, it is simple and I found it far easier to make a canopy than I ever thought it would be. The only problem was finding the right kind of 'candy cover'. The first plastic I used turned a milky white. A different and some what thinner plastic gave me perfect canopy. It is now trimmed and ready for installation. Go to Mike's site and have look, he has a lot of tips for building, finishing and flying rubber powered models.

When scatch building one of the problems will be a canopy. Mike on Mikes Flying Scale web site provides a step by step tutorial for molding a canopy.
